Front Desk Administrative Assistant

YWCA Seattle King County & Snohomish County Everett, WA

The Front Desk Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing daily front desk operations and administrative support at the YWCA’s Everett Regional Center. The Assistant answers and directs all phones calls and emails, welcomes in-kind donations, supports the Shelter Plus Care Program and the operation of the Women’s Working Wardrobe. This position occasionally supports the finance team by processing vendor invoices and updating spreadsheets.

This position has a social justice component that will allow for critical thinking around how the external systems impact the work that we are doing through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty. Student & Family Life Coach

What You'll Do
The primary responsibility of the Student & Family Life Coach is to assist families experiencing housing instability in achieving long-term stability and independence. This position focuses on Black/African-American families with students that attend Seattle Public School in maintaining current housing or obtaining permanent housing. Services provided include, but are not limited to support with finding emergency shelter, employment, housing search, landlord liaison activities, financial coaching, and housing counseling.

Your Impact: you’ll work closely with their manager to implement new housing and employment strategies aimed at linking housing case management and employment services with the goal of making progress toward living-wage employment and housing stability.

This position support the YWCA’s Social Justice Initiative by understanding how racism, sexism, classism and other oppressions play out in institutions and systems. Knowing the core principles of antiracism work and grounding those principles in everyday social service practices are required job skills and core values of the YWCA.

Rapid Rehousing Life Coach

The primary responsibility of the Rapid Re-housing Life Coach is to help secure and stabilize housing for families experiencing homelessness, or housing instability. This short-term housing intervention is intended to quickly move families experiencing homelessness into permanent housing. Services provided include, but are not limited to support with housing search, landlord liaison activities, financial coaching, and housing counseling. This position will work closely with the Housing Program Manager to implement new housing and employment strategies aimed at linking housing case management and employment services with the goal of making progress toward living-wage employment and housing stability.
