King County Financial Empowerment Network (KCFEN)

About Us

Due to 2025 state funding cuts to Asset Building Coalitions, and the resulting impacts on FEN's budget, FEN has made the decision to suspend the KC FEN program as of May 2025. This decision, while hard, allows FEN to prioritize core services and sustainability across the network.

The King County Financial Empowerment Network (KCFEN), empowers low-and-moderate income King County residents to build, maintain and preserve assets and achieve financial security. We partner with community organizations, financial institutions, and local government to find innovative solutions to address poverty in King County. We do this through programs that provide:

  • Access to reliable and relevant resources for King County
  • Youth financial education
  • Bank On Seattle King County Integration Initiative

By connecting people to resources and education, we hope to empower this community to build lasting financial resilience and break down barriers to economic success. Through these critical partnerships, we strive to create an equitable and inclusive future where everyone can thrive financially.
