Become a Gold Standard Certified Financial Coach!

You can receive a Gold Standard Coaching Certification created specifically to equip financial coaches with the skills they need to thrive in their roles. Complete online modules through Change Machine and an in-person training to receive the Gold Standard Coaching Certificate. This certificate ensures financial coaches are leaders in the industry and well-equipped to support their clients effectively and deliver exceptional service. 

To become a Gold Standard Certified Coach you must complete the following:

Financial Coaching for Prosperity Training, April 29 & 30, May 27 & 28 at Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region, Tacoma, WA. This in-person training will focus on coaching competencies, coaching tools and practices, and coaching approaches and mindsets. You must attend all 4 days of training. Register here.

Commerce CRP funds may be used to cover transportation and hotel costs to attend this training. If your organization is unable to pay the full transportation costs for you to attend, some limited financial assistance is available. Please reach out to Abby at abby@fenwa.org to ask about full or partial assistance with transportation stipends and hotel costs.

Change Machine trainings. Change Machine is a self-paced, online learning platform that provides coaches with vital knowledge and tools to be a great financial coach. This platform serves as an essential resource for financial coaching professionals, providing a comprehensive suite of tools and learning opportunities designed to enhance expertise and elevate the impact of coaching sessions. It includes:

  • A library of self-paced training modules.
  • Foundational knowledge and advanced skills in financial coaching, empowering coaches with the confidnce to address a wide range of client needs.
  • A wealth of downloadable tip sheets and practice tools.

Incorporating Change Machine into your certification journey not only enhances your ability to provide high-quality financial coaching but also strengthens your commitment to staying current with the latest industry practices, ultimately benefiting both you and the individuals you serve. 10 Change Machine modules have been identified as the most critical areas for coaches to master. The full criteria for the Gold Standard Certification is still under development, but will include trainings such as Coaching for Prosperity, Change Machine, and ongoing professional development. This is a pilot and still under construction.
